This is a collection of my work from the Fall 2021 Semester in my Branding Identity Class, where I explored brand creation in the form of a theoretical public transportation card, unifying the riding experience across public transit in the United States North East. I wanted to find a way to ride a train in Philly and a train in NYC without having to switch cards or digital wallets. My solution was to propose a card/application that allows users to seamlessly switch between systems and forms of public transit, from bus to train, and from DC to Boston.

A finalized version of my logo, made in illustrator, combining the rounded elements of my design scheme with the visual concept of a train or bus map indicated in the “K” and arch.

These were the first digital concept sketches of potential logos and icons for the Kinetic Transit Card, which was the name of my project.

Color Scheme

The colors of the brand identity needed to be able to calibrate with a variety of existing transit systems, so I included a wider range of colors in the branding scheme.
